Newark Athletic Club is a sports club located in the Nottinghamshire market town of Newark on Trent. We compete in various athletic disciplines including cross country, track and field (indoor and outdoor), road running and sports hall athletics. We are affiliated to The Midland Counties Athletics Association, UK Athletics, The Midlands Men’s & Women’s Cross Country & Road Running Association and the Nottinghamshire Amateur Athletic Association.
We are a friendly and ambitious club catering for athletes of all ages from 9 upwards. As a club we compete in local, regional and national events such as the Northern Athletics League, the National Cross Country Relays and many more. Many of our athletes represent their county and several gain national recognition for their achievements. Prospective members can arrange to attend free taster sessions.

Our club trains throughout the week with club nights on a Tuesday and Thursday at the YMCA Sports & Activity Village in Newark and additional coached sessions in the locality (for example the senior middle distance runners might train in Stapleford Woods or as part of a parkrun). Members of the club can also train independently at the YMCA during the week by paying for additional track access.
