A proud moment for Newark AC on Saturday as our Senior Men’s team were presented with the Michelin Minor Club Trophy following their fantastic performance at February’s English National Cross Country Championships!
Our team of 12 runners achieved an incredible 5th place overall, competing against some of the biggest clubs in the country!
The trophy is awarded to the highest-placed Senior Men’s team that hasn’t finished inside the top 30 in the previous five years. With Newark AC’s previous best being 41st, this is a huge achievement for our club!
The trophy was presented by ECCA Treasurer Richard Ilsey.
A fantastic recognition of just how far our club has come, proving that smaller clubs can compete with the very best!
Congratulations to all 12 runners – what an achievement for Newark AC!
