Today saw 21 juniors take part in the 4th Mini League Cross Country match of the season at Worksop College.
The U11 girls kicked off the day with Isabella having her best race of the season to come in 7th position.
We had 9 U11 boys in the next race where Oscar continued his excellent form to finish in 6th place on the day but further strengthening his 3rd place position overall.
The U13 girls came next and saw two Newark athletes in the top 3 with a great 1st place from Scarlett and a controlled run from Robin to secure 3rd place. The team continue to hold 2nd position overall with one race to go.
The U13 boys remain in 2nd place overall – a mere 2 points behind Notts going into the last race. A strong team showing again with several of the boys having raced the day before for their schools.
The U15 boys saw strong showings again from Reuben and Ben to conclude the competition.
As it was the Christmas race Newark also fielded two parents in the parent race – Richard and Ally who both recorded respectable finishes in a competitive field (particularly Richard)!
