East Midlands Cross Country League match 3

Those athletes running back-to-back races over the weekend were glad to be joined by some fresh team mates for the third round of the East Midlands cross country league. Rachel McCuaig ran a controlled race to finish second with Becky Taylor, making a rare appearance at cross country, also making the top ten. On the men’s side, Andy Welshman had his best finish of the season in seventh. It proved a tough race with the course at Holme Pierrepont being more demanding than the previous day’s championship event at Berry Hill with large amounts of standing water and slippery mud in addition to several testing climbs.
