Youth triumphed over experience at the second round of the East Midlands cross country league with Oli Carrington leading home the team in his senior cross country debut. Oli, who is still in the under 17 age group, made a determined start placing himself in the top-ten after the first lap and then maintained this through the second lap of the tough Bramcote Hills park course. Oli was backed up by Howard Leek and Andy Welshman in the top-twenty and Richard Peach completed the team. It was also Daniel Barrie’s first senior race and he led home the B team. In the women’s race, Rachel McCuaig was again in the first three.
