National Cross Country relays 2009
The national cross country relays is one of the major events of the winter season and twenty-two Newark athletes competed at Berry Hill Park in Mansfield, the home of the championship since 1988. The conditions were ideal with the ground firm and the weather remaining fine and mild. The senior ladies team had the highest finish of the day in 62nd and in the senior men’s team, Doug Kelley produced one of the fastest ever runs by a Newark AC athlete, completing the 5km course in 17mins 30secs.
A list of Newark AC times going back to 1998 can be found here courtesy of Tim Bagguley.
