Rachel McCuaig rounded off a superb series of races in the Notts Summer Road League by winning the final race to become the overall champion. Rachel has been in the top three finishers all season,
including two wins, and this second one came only three days after competing in the Newark Half-Marathon. Rachel wasn’t the only winner, though, as Kate Else also took her age group title and the senior ladies team picked up bronze medals.
The men couldn’t boast any medals, but it was the best team performance of the season with five runners in the top 100 finishers and the team finishing in seventh place on the night and tenth overall.
With morale high, the team is now looking forward to the start of the cross country season in October.
